Milkplant is Justin Pennell, From 0-1 label founder and co-owner with longtime friend, Sone. Originally from the city of Milwaukee in the Midwest, he left the cold and moved to Seattle in 2004 and in 2010 relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area. With almost twenty years of combined DJ and production experience, he's witnessed many trends in electronic music come and go. Starting as a DJ at the age of 19 in 2000, he immediately discovered Heiko Laux, Stewart Walker, Plastikman, Ken Ishii, Speedy J, Fuse, and Theorem from records obtained from Nick Nice's 'Nice Music' in Madison, Wisconsin at the peak of the Midwest rave scene. From then on he forged a path that led to production by 2004, and record label establishment in 2008. Beyond the usual, he draws intense influence from punk rock, industrial, and experimental music, from the likes of Nitzer Ebb, Front 242, Coil, Throbbing Gristle, Psychic TV, Tangerine Dream, Pennywise, Social Distortion, Bad Religion, Death in June, Ministry, Shriekback and many more. Beyond music, he finds inspiration and influence from magick, metaphysics, quantum mechanics, evolution, botany, geology, science fiction, geography, star wars, the human condition, and his continually supportive and loving girlfriend, Rachel.

5 Questions with Milkplant

What is the most embarrassing thing you've done during a performance?

Beyond some of the epic trainwrecks? LOL, there is one instance that stands out in particular. Probably almost a decade ago now I was hired to DJ this 'club' at a spa and resort outside of Milwaukee. It was pretty sleepy but I was getting paid decent money for it so I just played what I wanted to. Of course I was receiving a lot of inane requests for classic rock and other bullshit. There was a big gnarly biker at the bar that kept harassing me to play 'rock music'. Finally when he got sick of me ignoring him he walked up on stage and pulled the plug right out on me. Everything went dead, I was a bit shocked. Needless to say, he got his ass booted. Funny, it's been awhile since I've thought of that.

What is your dream gig?

Eh. I don't really know what my dream gig would be. I've never really thought about it. It would be cliche of me to say Berghain, doesn't everyone say that? Honestly, I like a good tight crowd with people in crazy party mode where I get a long time slot to explore all the territory in my collection. That rarely ever happens being that everyone in the states gets an hour slot which is pretty bogus. When there are a lot of people 'getting psychadelic' in the crowd that usually makes way for some awesome craziness.

What artist or album defines the soundtrack of your life?

I think this likely changes for most people over the years but for a long time now for me it's been "Love's Secret Domain" by Coil.

What is your first memory involving music?

Both unequivocally, my mom reliving her disco days in the living room, or my dad blaring The Moody Blues on his 'component system'.

What's your favorite hangover food?

A fantastic Cheeseburger... pretty American of me I guess... specifically one from Columbia City Alehouse in Seattle, there's still no better burger on earth (except maybe one I've made, heh).

Forming a sound both familiar and foreign, existing in the hours of the day where you allow your head to open, relax, and reinvent, Cyanwave creates post warehouse rhythms layered with captured audio and dub soundscapes. Imbuing the spirit that created the Northwest, home of refugees and adventurers, Cyanwave’s hypnotic journey takes the listener from the dance floor to the headphones and back around. With no final destination, the aim is exploration itself. The hybrid sound of Cyanwave is the result of reaction and reinterpretation of the duo’s contrasting backgrounds; Justin Byrnes from a history as lead guitarist in rock bands in the ‘90s and Keith Kelley’s experience attending raves and dj’ing in the infamous Midwest of the US. Using a combination of analog and digital synthesizers, expansive software and processing, Cyanwave values sound aesthetic over genre loyalty. Experimentation is not limited to just production; exploration continues during each performance as Cyanwave continually reconfigures what it means to perform live.

On December 3rd, 2011, From 0-1 celebrated its four year anniversary and current 12" release (Catharsis: The Remixes) in proper fashion at one of the most revered underground warehouse spaces in Seattle, USA, known as The Cocoon. Impeccably programmed, all the label artists involved featured their much anticipated live PA's. Cyanwave (Seattle) began the night with their first ever fantastic spaced out ambient/experimental A/V set, followed by JGarrett (Vancouver BC) dropping dub techno, acid, and funky tech-house rounded out with a cover of Big Blacks "Tiny, King of Jews" featuring his own vocal talents. The magnanimous The Automatic Message (Vancouver, BC) brought their signature 'rough around the edges' bleeding edge techno in a way only they could, performing a memorable and haunting A/V set. Following was Label Co-Director, Milkplant (San Francisco) dropping his signature blend of sweaty peak time 'tear your shirt off' techno. Let's Go Outside brought his very unique techno flavor featuring his touch screen controller as his only instrument, a custom performance software of his own design. John Massey (Seattle) then took us to the late night, laying down a lauded thick and punishing hard techno set, which Label Co-Director, Sone (Seattle) followed with a much anticipated live set of highly polished, driving minimal and techno for the late hours. Rounding out the evening as the sun came up, Rubidium (San Francisco) dropped a proper set of early morning house and techno that had the floor grooving all the way until the sound system couldn't take it anymore.

It was an incredible event featuring a huge amount of talent that will not soon be forgotten.

I am committed to the discovery of truth through techno.

I started producing and DJing digitally in 2007, with a history in classical dance and choreography, in addition to over a decade of dedication to parties, raves and clubs. Inspired by the techno, house, industrial and dub techno genres, I'm working harder than ever in the studio to materialize the sounds that are creatively rising to the surface.

Additionally, I am the artistic director of the From 0-1 techno label and enjoy supporting the label visually, as well as spiritually. The label is a creative forum for myself and many talented artists, giving us a much needed outlet in the techno community here in the States.

For over twelve years DJ/producer/designer Mike Gervais has blazed an artistic trail ahead of his peers. Through the avid exploration of modern music technologies, his technique is constantly evolving. His performances deliver an extraordinary range of superlative sounds, swarming with bursts of real-time composition, looping, sampling, and effects. His DJ sets and original compositions have earned him critical acclaim from international producers and performers, earning him gigs across the United States and Canada. Mike serves as creative director for Timefog and has releases on Solar Cathedral Recordings, Nightlight Music, and Timefog.

As a promoter, producer, performer, programmer, and designer he has been a driving force behind legendary Minneapolis events put on by Intellephunk, Klik Musik, SecretTechno, and Convergence. From 1999-2003 he also contributed to Drop Bass events in Wisconsin and Richie Hawtin's events in Detroit.

Now Mike stands, armed with his own creative fervor and clairvoyance, at the edge. Timefog, his visionary archetype, unfolding and expanding unto infinity.

San Francisco/Seattle based From 0-1 Records release "Vaporizer" by JGarrett..... OUT NOW...... Summer is in full swing here at From 0-1 and with that in mind we would like to introduce you to JGarrett. JGarrett (Josh Garrett) is a Vancouver, BC based producer and Ableton Live certified instructor. His debut EP for From 0-1 is wonderful piece of summer-time dub techno. Starting off with "Vaporizer" featuring spiraling pads and textures that will make you want to play mountaintop sunrise sets forever, which is then followed by the moody and detached "Condenser" with a slow chugging bass line and far off pads, a perfect accompaniment for the EP's namesake.

The remixes start off with "Vaporizer" by San Francisco legend Jonah Sharp (aka 'Space Time Continuum' and ½ of 'Reagenz' with partner Move D). His groovy, spacey mix is hot one, for a hot night, and purely classic. As Jonah explained, the remix was recorded all in a single take. Rare genius. Next up is From 0-1 label head Milkplant of San Francisco, who tampers with a lightly distorted dub techno groove, giving a nod to a classic time in techno decades back. Following in line is John Massey of Seattle, whose "Blunted remix" keeps the deep dub spirit of the original, but with a techno dance floor attitude. Massey's mix also contains some sagely advice, and we'll leave it at that. And lastly, we welcome back Kris Moon, a Pacific Northwest mainstay, who delivers a loop driven techy track to keep the party people moving well into the morning light.

Brooklyn native John Massey has been attempting to damage eardrums for almost 14 years. A child of the 80's, Massey transplanted to Los Angeles as a teen where he discovered an emerging underground dance scene and was infected with an interest in electronic music. Founding Sound Rehab Productions, Massey connected with influential local promoters and artists such as Zero One, Drumcell, Paco Herte, Ron-d-Core, and Raiz (Acid Circus) and began coordinating techno events, working the DJ circuit throughout the southern California area. He now resides in Seattle.

In recent years, Massey has made appearances at events such as Decibel Festival, SubSensory’s monthly STATIC in Portland, and frequent club and after-hours gigs around the Pacific Northwest. Massey is the kind of unassuming artist that has earned respect rather than demand it; keeping his head down and focusing on his craft, trusting his instincts to keep the dance-floor moving. Currently performing a live/DJ hybrid set-up with four decks and two-controllers, Massey creatively blends a wide variety of techno, minimal, and experimental sounds.

As a producer, Massey tackles a variety of sounds; ranging from his work as part of a hip-hop duo act Dysposable Heroes to techno projects under his own name and the alias Indispenable Villains. He has released on one of the leading US techno labels Droid Recordings, the net label Bleep Sequence, his own net label Sound Rehab, Portand’s SubSensory Recordings, and with Northwest based label From 0-1.

Sone, Seattle based DJ and producer Brian Sonnleitner, experienced his first exploits into music drumming in various punk and ska bands while growing up in Wisconsin. Then late one August evening, after witnessing Chris Liberator melt his mind, Brian shifted gears into pursuing his passion for techno full time. Now a DJ of over a decade, his sets push towards intense builds and disorientating breaks all while being stuffed full of tension, but always maintaining the all-important element of the dance floor. In 2008 Brian moved into the realm of production with his tracks exploring the bigger and darker side of techno. Sone’s remix contest for his track “Recovery Mode”, released off From 0-1, received far reaching interest and support with submissions coming in from all over North America, the UK, and Hungary. Brian is also the co-owner of From 0-1 and the Logistics Manager for the label. One of Seattle’s brightest up-and-comers, the years ahead will surely see his impact on the Northwest and beyond.

For the 10th release in our catalog, From 0-1 chose to call upon rapidly rising Techno star, Memnok to deliver us some dark magic. Memnok comes back to us after we released one of his first EPs with the phenomenal track "Placid". "Placid" emanates from a dark place with sparseness and an uncompromisingly evil feel with big bottom, forboding vocal snippets, accompanied by eerie pads and synths that portray a very dark essence.

Accompanying the original are remixes from American up-comers and From 0-1 label heads, Milkplant and Sone. Sone's "Detached Remix" continues the spell that the original casts. Dark, deep, and absolutely powerful, Sone's mix and its massive low end might be tampering with the brown note. Beware. Lastly, Milkplant rounds off the release and jacks up the energy with a floor storming, driving example of the producer's tendency to issue no-holds-barred raw techno tracks. Release date is Thursday, June 23rd.

Born and bred in troubled times in the Northern Irish City of Belfast,
Si Moore (also occasionally working under the moniker 'Superkonduktor') found solace and passion deep underground at the early age of 15 at the famed club 'Shine'. The venue combined a safe haven for young music lovers in a confused city and quickly evolved into one of the most infamous underground techno clubs in Europe. With influence from American based artists such as Green Velvet, Simon developed an initial love of harder percussive house, though as time moved on he discovered the complexity of modern stripped down techno through artists such as Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer, Speedy J and Chris Liebing.

Fascinated by how the music was designed and performed, it was not long before watching and listening was not enough and Simon saved up for his first set of turntables. The next number of years were spent hosting small parties in the UK and frequenting the bigger venues to sample the finest performances in clubs such as Fabric, the End, and the Glasgow Arches. After several transatlantic moves, he has set up base in San Francisco running events such as U-Bahng (USA and UK) and Co-running RE~SET (USA and Central America) featuring young creative artists on labels such as Perc trax, Auarlism, Drumcode, Berghain, Droid Recordings, Osgut Ton and Timefog. Production-wise, Simon has been working hard in the studio honing his skills, creating his own clearly defined techno sound. Be on the lookout in the not-too-distant future for his original productions.

Aaron Nesbit's journey into the world of electronic music began in 1995 as an audio engineer followed by 3 years as a DJ for his college radio station, co-hosting and producing a weekly electronic music show. The influences of Virginia, DC, and Baltimore scenes took him deeper into the realm of music production. Nesbit's early tracks have landed in mixes of artists such as Heiko Laux, Christian Smith, Mijk Van Dijk, Tom Wax, and Darren Emerson, and has taken him to the far corners of the world. For a number of years he stepped away from production to focus on his career outside of music, but after moving to the Pacific Northwest he felt refreshed and has gotten back into the game, starting with a handful of original tracks and remixes for labels From 0-1 and SubSensory Recordings. Keep an ear open for future projects that he has in the works!

A man that needs little introduction, Audio Injection, aka David Flores of Los Angeles, California, USA, has been making waves on some of the world's largest and most well-respected techno labels on the planet. He has been featured on Speedy J's Electric Deluxe, Chris Liebing's CLR, Paul Mac's Stimulus, and of course as a cohort with Droid Records.

Before David goes back to Berlin and beyond for an upcoming tour we wanted to have him mix a custom set for us and that he did! From 0-1 presents "Pet The Ceiling", a smashing single by new Seattle producer, Ctrl Alt Dlt. Ctrl Alt Dlt is Chris Aldrich of Seattle, formerly Detroit. For his first release 'Pet The Ceiling', Ctrl Alt
Dlt takes his creation and collaborates with Milkplant on engineering and mixing duties and delivers a substantial single. The original mix commands a powerful tribal Dub Techhouse attitude designed and tested for those who want to take it higher, sure to take them up to the ceiling. Unique and original, this track is not one to pigeonhole.

Starting off the round of remixes, Detroit (now Berlin) legend Derek Plaslaiko follows up his impressive debut on Perc Trax with an excellent clangy, raw tribal number that gets heady and spaced out deep inside. The second remix comes in as a long distance collab between Portland, Oregon based producer Let's Go Outside and San Francisco based producer Milkplant bringing you a no-holds-barred funky techno stormer. This track is all about the peak time hours, play it loud!! Following up is a phenomenal deep, and 'stripped to the essentials' crawly beast that is Sone's Dub Tool. One couldn't take a track and par it down to it's most basic elements any better. And wrapping up the remixes Aaron Nesbit takes a stripped down approach, yielding a fantastic raw flavored track reminiscent of something off early Hot Mix 5 (think Micky Oliver).

Milkplant was born in Cleveland, and soon after relocated to the outlying burbs of Milwaukee; a few hours north of Chicago. He eschewed the idea of being breast fed and started playing with modular synthesizers at the age of 1. Soon afterward he picked up his first 12" record. At the age of 2 he was rocking warehouse parties well before the word "RAVE" hit the American countryside. At the age of 3 he decided all this was rubbish and took a hiatus until the age of 19 when he thought it was a good idea to start playing records again. Then when he was 23 he had another brilliant idea and thought it was time to re-explore modular synthesis and rekindle his love affair with electronic music he gave up when he was 1. To this day it still appears to him as a big mistake. But as with everyone on planet Earth- a job's a job

Milkplant's been at the game since 2000 mixing techno in its various forms and derivatives but not until this mix has he eschewed the turntables in an effort to begin a forward thinking journey into a full digital set-up. JGarrett began producing and performing electronic music in the Ann Arbor/Detroit electronic music scene in the mid 90s under a variety of guises and has worked with a multitude of labels including Super 6, From 0-1, Säuredbad, Component, Strategem, Glue, Smart and SINless Records. He also ran the Xynthetic Netlabel from from 2006 to 2010. And is currently based in Vancouver, BC. Today he brings us a fantastic techno set laced with acid and sexy dub. This is a great showing that, in capable hands, the 303 is as dangerous and beautiful as it ever was. Sit back and enjoy the ride.

Complicit is an exploration of modern techno and an experiment in musical partnership for contributing members Tanya and Travis Norman. Longtime enthusiastic supporters of Minneapolis talent, the duo was looking for a way to translate that inspiration into a statement of their own. They found it by crafting a production and performance workflow running identical controllers manipulating a single system. The resulting symmetry and real time dynamics, a balancing act of duties divided by frequency range, are allowed to combine in unpredictable ways and evolve along a non-linear timeline, thereby insuring a unique mix at each event.

Early forays into performance have witnessed the duo making good their commitment to manifest a favorite Minneapolis slogan: "Keep Techno Sexy." Whether contributing to the renowned Black nights at First Avenue or to intimate after hours events, the vibe has been sweaty, sultry, and designed for dancing. Fans who witness the extra level of communication evident in non-verbal cues dictating build up and release of the material realize quickly the strength of connection between the two musicians. Meanwhile, the improvisational aspects of the pair's presentation translate to a potent in-the-moment awareness - one that spreads easily from performer to listener, enveloping each in a unified soundscape.

Custom Art for the Techno Label’s Premier Vinyl Release:
“Catharsis: An Outpouring From the Pacific Side of Earth”

These days, pressing and cutting vinyl is a luxury many music labels bypass. However, Seattle-based techno label, From 0-1, considers vinyl releases to still be an important and vital part of the electronic music industry. Techno is a genre steeped in the DJ’s relationship to their records. Although the digital age is thriving, there remains a certain appeal of finding a unique release among a stack of many. The label is proud to announce their premier vinyl release “Catharsis”, due out the summer of 2010, featuring tracks by Bryan Zentz and Let’s Go Outside, DJ Sodeyama, Milkplant and Sone.

To mark the occasion, each jacket of the release is an original, featuring a custom stencil of the From 0-1 logo in different mediums. Printing the jackets was a labor of love and a collaborative effort by label artists. The photos here give a first-hand account of our spraypaint-filled afternoon, and a sneak peak of the artwork before it hits record stores.

Harvey McKay is part of a new school of artists to come out from Glasgow’s thriving underground club-scene. Harvey was first picked up by the Glasgow label Artificial Silence; this was swiftly followed by being signed to infamous label Perc Trax. The track Mono was quickly picked up and supported by Speedy J amongst many others. Soon there were major players fighting to sign the well known 69 track, this eventually lead to Harvey signing a two album, six single deal with one of the worlds best electronic labels, Soma Quality Recordings.

Since then his career has gone from strength to strength, gaining support from major artists like Stephan Bozin, Laurent Garnier, Richie Hawtin, Michael Mayer, Luke Slater, Slam, and Green Velvet. Harvey has also been busy remixing some of the best artists and labels from the likes of Gary Beck, Minus, Mihilas Safras, Material Series, Angel Alanis, Klientele and loads more. Harvey has been busy performing his excellent DJ and live sets at festivals and parties all over the world. Just back from a tour of the US, Harvey performed at the Decibel Festival (Seattle) and has also recently played at the Nuit Blanche Festival in Brussels to a crowd of thousands.

Harvey’s latest track Nightwalker is due out on Soma in January and has already gained massive support from Richie Hawtin (being his most played track over the past 2 months and at almost every show). Also just out is Harvey’s Disturb the Bird ep on Soma, with remix from Gary Beck, M-nus, as a lead up to his massive album due on Soma in December . With an album and a string of EP’s signed up for the next few months, it is a exciting and busy time for the Glaswegian producer.

Blasting onto the Seattle scene with an army of vinyl and a head full of funk, Miss Shelrawka (Miss-Shel-RAW-ka) is a welcome transplant from the East Coast to the West, and her delicious blend of genre-bending sets and brain-slamming beats have lit dance floors on fire all over the Emerald City.

Excitement is brewing around this dynamic DJ as she begins to make her mark in the thriving electronic music community of the Pacific Northwest. Dr. Mr. M, a.k.a. M'Chateau, a.k.a. Michito Iwata, is a Seattle destroyer of dance floors who holds himself to an epitome of excellence and is an icon in the city's vibrant electronic music scene to say the least. A member of Seattle’s Fourthcity collective, he is a leading force in the local Micro-Rave movement, spearheading sick parties and throwing dirty beats down on the decks for around half a decade. Mr. Iwata's style is stirred with allegiance for Detroit and Germany as well as an unconditional love for Latin and Brazilian music, and his sets will please even the most jaded electro-naut. Michito is the co-founder of the Knight Riders series and is the brains behind Fourthcity's 2008 Eastern European expansionisms. He was voted most likely to change the lives of millions in his sophomore year of high school, and can often be found walking his puppy in Seattle while surrounded by his personal security force, the Capitol Hill Cobras.

The Black White Vol. 02 is an expose of talented producers predominantly located in the Pacific Northwest. Drawing from a strong burgeoning talent pool, From 0-1 flexes some serious techno muscle with tracks from Let's Go Outside, Milkplant, Sone, Nerd Revolt, Revy, The Automatic Message, and others. Sculpted as one might craft a DJ set, The Black White Vol. 02 builds, culminates, and breaks in the style of a sweaty techno dance floor; starting deep, getting mental, blowing up, then simmering down. From 0-1's motto- "the space between" is clearly evident in the effort to offer up a collection of tracks one might very well be able to play in a DJ set with fluidity, while simultaneously recognizing the need to exhibit an artistically and thoughtfully prepared album of quality music from connected producers in the US, Canada, and Europe.

...a very good all hardware live set by none other than The Naturebot. Here's a bit about the lad...

Making rambling, ultra-melodic music for 15 years now, The Naturebot (aka Ian Price) occupies a niche of dance music that takes pride in surprise, artistry, and independence from current musical trends. Continuously recording found sound and creating new music, The Naturebot "micro-manages his hyper, busy tracks, but instead of producing sterile, dry studies in laptoptronica, he churns out cuts that dazzle from a technical standpoint while not skimping on the unhinged fun factor" (The Stranger, Jan 22nd). As a result, his music has elicited everything from tears of joy to absolute unhinged irritation from audiences.

Ian's involvement in the Seattle music scene has been strong as well, playing in multiple bands, hosting local and experimental music showsfor 6 years, starting Pleasure Boat Records, and co-founding as well as continually producing and being a resident at Bonkers!, a monthly showcase (currently at Rebar in Seattle) dedicated to offbeat and creative electronic/dance music since 2006. His live shows as The Naturebot vary wildly in character but have included live percussion, flute and guitar, self-designed effects, homemade instrumentation/electronics, MCs, and a full band. Influences cited include the landscape of the American Southwest as well as the music of Cluster/Harmonia, Aphex Twin, Steve Reich, Drexciya, Andrew WK, and the Bliss Out series on Darla Records.

The Naturebot released the album The Schnebly (www.pleasureboatrecords.com) in early 2009 and is sporadically working on a follow-up as well as other releases for Pleasure Boat Records in the coming months. Keep an eye out for upcoming hardware live sets and improved cooking skills from Ian in 2009.

First of all we would like to thank everyone for their submissions to the contest. In the end it was quite difficult for Justin and myself to pick a winner. But, From 0-1, would like to congratulate Trevor Jacobson also known as The Automatic Message. Trevor hails from Vancouver, BC and gave us deep dark remix full of huge bass topped off with plenty of groove. He will be receiving as much 0-1 swag as we can throw at him along with sharing a release with Bryan Zentz, Aaron Nesbit, Kynd, and Justin Byrnes, coming out on June 21, 2009.

From 0-1 recently invited Seattle techno producer/DJ John Massey into the studio for our March installation of the Studio Session series. John hails from L.A. and is a recent transplant to the Pac NW. Here’s a bit about the man:

A recent transplant to the Northwest, John Massey has been attempting to damage eardrums for over 10 years. Growing up in Flatbush Brooklyn, a child of the 80's helped mold and shape his musical interest into what they are today. Moving to L.A. as a teen, he was introduced to the emerging underground dance culture. John discovered a new love in electronic music and even more so in the art of deejaying. Soon busy with his own Sound Rehab Productions he began coordinating techno events and working the local dj circuit, evolving into opportunities to play alongside talents such as Tim Taylor, Alexi Delano, Clemens Neufield, Dj Hyperactive, Woody McBride, and Angel Alanis to name a few. This also lead to collaborations with So Cal stronghold's like Dr. Freeclouds, Immigrant Industries, and Droid Behavior. True to his roots, John started producing hip-hop with a long time friend under the alias Dysposable Heroes, you can check their numerous releases with L.A.'s hip hop underground @ Dysposableheroes.com. No matter the genre, he has always enjoyed working with various artists giving him the opportunity to broaden his studio knowledge and dj skills. After a short hiatus from the techno community John is realigning his sights and looking to reemerge with a head full of steam.

We at From 0-1 are proud to announce the first From 0-1 remix contest!!
The Objective:
This remix contest is for Sone's "Recovery Mode", on our EP entitled "Soltice" released this past December. (listen here: www.soundcloud.com/from0to1)

The Artist:

Criteria:
We are looking for no more than two remixes per artist submission. As with any remix these days, you are free expand and use other custom parts beside the parts in the remix kit, but obviously using a good number of Sone's original parts is encouraged. We will accept all forms of music but know that we are a techno label so realistically, unless it's a masterpiece we're lookin' for something in the techno/techhouse vein. It would benefit you to have the track(s) at least somewhat mastered; enough that the levels are at least brought up a bit. We'll be having it mastered if we choose it so keep a premaster (at least 24 bit) on hand. When you have the track(s) finished, just email us and we'll give you instructions on how to upload to our server. (email- info@from0-1.com)

Timeline:
We are beginning the contest immediately and ending it promptly at noon on Sunday, March 29th. The winner will be announced Friday, April 3rd. A post will be made that day to announce the winner.

Here it is folks! Alas! The long awaited studio session by the Seattle techno magician himself- Sir Jerraldo Abstractico. (aka Jerry Abstract). This is an astounding Ableton DJ composition where there are very few moments if any when there is only one track playing at a time. This mix is artistically and thoughtfully prepared exclusively for From 0-1 and very much in the 0-1 style. Covering all ground from intense dub techno all the way to blistering acid it is indeed "Classic Abstract". Highly recommended if you like that shit called 'TECHNO'. :)
